The name Universal White Brotherhood primarily refers to the community of saints, initiates and masters who work to realise the ideal of a united world. In a physical sense, it refers to the disciples of Master Peter Deunov and also to those of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov who meet together as spiritual communities in brotherhood centres throughout the world. Centres formed by disciples of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov have now spread from Europe to North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australasia.
“Universal” invites all human beings of spiritual persuasion, from every country, of any religion or none, to come together to form one great spiritual family.
‘White’ is understood symbolically. It refers to white light, the synthesis of the colours of the rainbow and is the symbol of purity and the virtues of the human soul.
«Brotherhood» means not only that each of us must develop fraternal qualities of intelligence, understanding and strength of character to help and love our neighbor, but also that this teaching is for all members of the human community, whose predestination is to live together as children of one and the same creator: the Heavenly Father and of one and the same mother: Nature.
